Swap Announcement:

                              Just For Fun

I thought a swap might be fun.  Since the holidays are right around the corner, I thought a nice small swap would be a great way to spread the holiday cheer.  It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or experienced crocheter all the details will be posted on my Ravelry group that you can access here. So be sure to check it out. Hope to see you all there.
  Hugs
    Kym

                                Wow!!!!

I can't believe that it has been over a year since I have posted here.  It's true what they say, time does fly by wayyyyy too quickly.  I have done a lot of small projects, washcloths, kitchen towels, etc.  I made an abstract cat baby blanket for a gf of mine.

This is a close up of the blanket.  I made it for a baby boy. Considering it was my first time making one I think it came out decent. :-)

This is a heart doily I made for a gf.

This was my first ever C2C, I loved how it came out but unfortunately it got ruined so now I need to make another one so that I have a Christmas throw to put on the back of my couch.

This is a dishcloth I made with Red Heart Scrubby, I love this yarn, it's a bit difficult to see the stitches but I just do the patterns by feeling for the stitches.

Same pattern but I used reg cotton yarn.

This was a monthly project I made with Red Heart Unforgettable, it's called the Peek a boo shawl and it's a free pattern. I love the colors and how they worked out in the pattern.

Another monthly project called a spa cloth.

These are flower dishcloths that I created a pattern for myself.  It is the first pattern I have designed myself and liked how easy and cute they came out.

This is a simple dishcloth that I designed, very easy even for beginners.

I have done much more but I don't always take pictures of everything I do.
I am going to post another page for a swap, if anyone is interested.  And if I do have people interested I will definitely have to keep on top of this blog, lol.  So ta ta for now and happy crocheting/knitting/creating. πŸ‘ΈπŸ‘ΈπŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’šπŸ’š

WIP in Progress

I am about 1/4 done with my daughters birthday present. I know she will love it because black and pink are her colors and she loves when i make something for her. It helps me stay closer to her since she is not living with me at the moment.  Here is a picture of my current WIP.
Of course I am only on the 8th round it will be much bigger I will continue to take pictures so you can see my progress through this emotional journey.  Thanks to Donna Mason for the pattern I love it and so do my kids.

Wedding Shawl part 1

Well I have a week to make this, plus everything else for the wedding. I'm on the 3rd row. I did find out (the hard way) that the ch-70 at the beginning isnt large enough. I doubled to ch sts and now it seems a lot better. Will keep progress on here as I work this up. I will say it is a very simple pattern and does work up quickly.

UPDATE 4/24/2016: This current WIP is on hold I didn't have enough time to make it for my wedding.  If I can get the materials quick enough I will make it for my daughters prom.

Welcome

Welcome

I decided to keep a blog of my projects.  While it will mostly be about crochet, I also plan on doing some cross stitching for next Christmas.  I have a bunch of ornaments that I have been dying to make for my kids and other family members.
So if a post is NOT about crochet I will be sure to post *off topic* in the title this way if anyone wants to skip it they can. :-)  See I think of my readers :-)
Anyways, today I was bored but wasn't in the mood to start a large project. So I found a cute wristlet pattern, had some pretty purple sparkle yarn that I have been dying to use and poof
a finished purple wristlet.

This is just a close up so you can see the sparkle :-)
As it is going on 5A.M. here I will post a copy of the pattern later on.
Got to get some sleep.
